Luke 16:16–17
טז עַד יְמֵי יוֹחָנָן –– הַתּוֹרָה וְהַנְּבִיאִים; מֵאָז וְהָלְאָה מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים מִתְבַּשֶּׂרֶת לַבְּרִיוֹת, וְכָל אֶחָד פּוֹרֵץ אֵלֶיהָ. יז אֲבָל נָקֵל לַשָּׁמַיִם וְלָאָרֶץ לַחֲלֹף מֵאֲשֶׁר יִפֹּל תָּג אֶחָד מִן הַתּוֹרָה. (תהילים קיט׳ פט׳//ישעיהו מ׳ ח׳)
Luke 16:16–17
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. (KJV)
Here in Luke 16:16 Yeshua used Torah and the Prophets to show who John the Baptist is and speak of how the kingdom of God was preached. Notice verse 17, it says that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than the Torah. Essentially, He is saying the Torah has not passed away!
