Bits of Torah Truths – Yeshua Redeemed us from the Curse, a Torah Perspective – Episode 113

Galatians 3:13

Galatians 3:13
3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (KJV)

Deuteronomy 11:26–28
11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. (KJV)

Here Paul writes in Galatians 3:13 that Yeshua redeemed us from the curse. He is quoting from Devarim / Deuteronomy 11:26-28 and 27:15-26 in relation to what happens when one falls short of obeying God’s Torah, and the consequences to disobedience. When one embraces sin one becomes cursed. We are told that Yeshua laid his life down paying the price for our sins and therefore redeeming us from the curse! Yeshua enables us to walk in life and truth according to the Torah!
