ספר איכה פרק ב
ט טָבְע֤וּ בָאָ֙רֶץ֙ שְׁעָרֶ֔יהָ אִבַּ֥ד וְשִׁבַּ֖ר בְּרִיחֶ֑יהָ מַלְכָּ֨הּ וְשָׂרֶ֤יהָ בַגּוֹיִם֙ אֵ֣ין תּוֹרָ֔ה גַּם־נְבִיאֶ֕יהָ לֹא־מָצְא֥וּ חָז֖וֹן מֵיְהוָֽה׃
Lamentations 2:9
9 Her gates have sunk into the ground, He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations; The law is no more; Also, her prophets find No vision from the Lord. (NASB)
Here in Lamentations 2:9 Jeremiah lamented that the Torah is no more. The question is why lament if the Torah was ultimately to be done away with as is taught in modern theologies today? We note that in Psalm 119 David exalted the Torah.
