Hebrews 1:6
Hebrews 1:6
6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.” (NASB)
Deuteronomy 32:43
43 “Rejoice, O nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will render vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.” (NASB)
Psalm 97:7
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods. (NASB)
The author of Hebrews 1:6 quotes Deuteronomy 32:43 and Psalm 97:7 which speak of the nations praising God. We note also that Midrash Rabbah Genesis 98:9, states that “The Holy One, blessed be He, will say to the Messiah, the son of David (may he reveal himself speedily in our days), ‘Ask of me anything, and I will give it to you,’ as it is said, ‘I will tell of the decree: The Lord said unto me, Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession’” The Jewish text refers to the Messiah in a similar way to Hebrews 1:6.
