1 Corinthians 3:10
3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. (NASB)

The Torah contains themes of careful construction and spiritual foundations that parallel 1 Corinthians 3:10 which states “Let Everyone take heed to how he builds upon Mashiakh (Christ).” The Mashiakh (Messiah / Christ) is the anointed one of God, and the Torah emphasizes the weightiness of following God’s anointed one. One strong parallel is found in Exodus 25-40, where God gives Moses precise instructions for building the Tabernacle. Just as Paul emphasizes building carefully upon the Anointed One of God, the Israelites were commanded to construct the Tabernacle with great attention to detail, ensuring it was a worthy dwelling place for God’s presence. In addition, Deuteronomy 6:4-9 also speaks to building our lives upon God’s commandments—writing them on our hearts, teaching them diligently, and even inscribing them on our doorposts. This reflects the idea of constructing one’s faith upon a solid foundation, much like Paul’s metaphor of building upon the Anointed One. This is how Paul and the NT text teaches Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
