Titus 2:3

Titus 2:3
2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (KJV)

Here, Titus 2:3 speaks about the behavior that older women should exhibit, including living in a way that is holy, not being false accusers or given to much wine, and being teachers of good things. In the Torah, there are parallels to these concepts. For instance, Lashon Hara, the prohibition against slander is found in Leviticus 19:16: “Do not go about spreading slander among your people.” This aligns with the instruction in Titus 2:3 for older women not to be false accusers. Also, the concept of teaching good things, the Torah places a strong emphasis on teaching and learning the laws of God, as seen in Deuteronomy 6:7: “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Note the parallels eve though the context can be different. The NT letters, like Titus, were often addressing specific communities and their particular situations. The Torah has not passed away.
