For example, Leviticus 19:18 “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This verse is part of the Holiness Code and underscores the importance of treating others with love and respect, similar to the message in Luke 10:37. Deuteronomy 15:7-8 states, “If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.” This passage highlights the importance of generosity and aiding those in need. Exodus 23:4-5 states, “If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.
