Titus 1:14
וְלֹא יָשִׁיתוּ לִבָּם לְאַגָּדוֹת יְהוּדִיּוֹת וּלְמִצְווֹת בְּנֵי אָדָם הַסוֹטִים מִן הָאֱמֶת.
There are several passages in the Torah that emphasize the importance of adhering to God’s commandments and cautioning against following man-made commands and fables. (Titus 1:14) For example, in Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” Also, Deuteronomy 12:32 states, “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” These verses stress the importance of following God’s commandments as they are given, without adding or subtracting from them. This can be seen as parallel to the idea in Titus 1:14, which warns against paying attention to fables and the commandments of men that turn away from the truth. We note how the NT emphasizes the importance of adhering to the commands of God. This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
