2 Corinthians 9:10

The concept of “increased fruits” in 2 Corinthians 9:10, which states, “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness,” aligns with various teachings in the Torah regarding divine provision and blessings. One significant passage can be found in Leviticus 26, which outlines the blessings for obedience. For example, Leviticus 26:3-4 states, “If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.” Another parallel is found in Deuteronomy 28:4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb, the produce of your ground, and the offspring of your cattle, the increase of your herds, and the young of your flock.” And in Deuteronomy 28:11 “The Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.” These passages reflect the idea that God blesses His people with increased fruits—both literally and metaphorically—when they are obedient to His commands. The NT message in 2 Corinthians 9:10, emphasizing the increase of righteousness and provision, resonates with the Torah’s promise of abundant blessings for those who walk in God’s ways. This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
