Matthew 14:19-20
The miracle of Yeshua feeding the 5,000 is recorded in all four Gospels: Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17, John 6:1-15. This event is significant as it showcases Yeshua’s compassion and there is a very interesting Torah parallel according to Shemot / Exodus 16:18. The scripture from Exodus states the following, 16:18 When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat. (NASB) The correlation is related to the people being satiated when eating what Yeshua fed the 5000 (bread and fish). What Yeshua had distributed was enough, no more or no less, just like we read in the Torah account on the mana the people gathered more or less and it was the perfect amount to be satisfied with food. This again demonstrates the continuity of the Scriptures as well as the importance of the Torah!
