Luke 6:35

Luke 6:35
6:35 “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. (NASB)

Romans 13:3

Romans 13:3
13:3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; (NASB)

The Torah emphasizes doing good through various commandments and teachings, similar to what we read according to Luke 6:35 and Romans 13:3. For example, Deuteronomy 6:18 states, “Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors.” This verse encourages doing what is morally right and good. Micah 6:8 also said, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” The Tanakh contains teachings carrying the spirit of the principles found throughout the Torah. Note how these concepts resonate with the NT teachings, indicating how Yeshua and Paul both taught Torah. The Torah has not passed away!
