Romans 12:12
 יב גִּילוּ בַּתִּקְוָה. הֱיוּ סַבְלָנִים בְּצָרָה. הַתְמִידוּ בִּתְפִלָּה.

Colossians 4:2
ב הַתְמִידוּ בִּתְפִלָּה וְשִׁקְדוּ בָּהּ בְּהוֹדָיָה.

Romans 12:12
12:12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, (NASB)

Colossians 4:2
4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; (NASB)

The Torah emphasizes a constant and deep relationship with God, which includes the concept of continuing in prayer as we find in Romans 12:12 and Colossians 4:2. According to Deuteronomy 6:5-9, the Shema, we are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, and might, and to keep His words constantly in our hearts, teaching them to our children, and discussing them at all times—whether at home or on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. This passage highlights the importance of maintaining a continuous connection with God through His commandments and words, akin to the call to “continue in prayer.” This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
