2 Peter 3:17

2 Peter 3:17
3:17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, (NASB)

In 2 Peter 3:17 we are given a warning against backsliding and being led away by the error of the wicked. This has parallels in the Torah. One such parallel can be found in Deuteronomy 8:11-20, where we are warned against forgetting the Lord and turning away from His commandments after entering the Promised Land. This passage emphasizes the importance of remembering God’s commandments and not being led astray by prosperity and other influences, similar to the warning in 2 Peter 3:17. This is how Peter taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
