Hebrews 11:6
Hebrews 11:6
11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. (NASB)
The author of Hebrews 11:6 states that we should believe in God’s existence. There are several passages in the Torah that emphasize the importance of believing in God’s existence and having faith in Him. For example, Exodus 3:14 states, “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” This verse emphasizes God’s self-existence and eternal nature, which requires belief in His existence. Deuteronomy 4:39 and Deuteronomy 6:4-5 speak to believing in the one true God and believing in the Oneness of God. These verses collectively highlight the importance of believing in God’s existence and having faith in Him, much like Hebrews 11:6. Notice how the Torah has not passed away!
