Philippians 2:2

Philippians 2:2
2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (KJV)

The concept of being “of one accord,” as mentioned in Philippians 2:2 speaks of being united in spirit and purpose. In the Torah, the concept of unity is also emphasized, particularly in the context of the Israelites coming together as one community to serve God and follow His commandments. For example, in Exodus 24:3, after Moses told the people all God commands, they responded with one voice, saying, “Everything the Lord has said we will do.” This demonstrates a collective commitment to God’s covenant, reflecting a sense of being of one accord in their obedience and worship. In Numbers 11:16-17, God tells Moshe to gather seventy elders who are known to be leaders and officials among the people. God says He will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on Moshe and put it on them. This sharing of the Spirit among the leaders can be seen as a form of being of one accord, as they are united in their purpose and service to the community. This is how Paul taught Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
