כ אַחַי, אַל תִּהְיוּ יְלָדִים בַּחֲשִׁיבָה; הֱיוּ יְלָדִים בְּעִנְיְנֵי רִשְׁעוּת, אַךְ בַּחֲשִׁיבָה הֱיוּ מְבֻגָּרִים.
1 Corinthians 14:20
14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. (KJV)
According to 1 Corinthians 14:20, Paul encourages believers to be mature in their understanding. The Torah does emphasize the importance of wisdom and understanding in several instances. For example, in the book of Deuteronomy, Moses urges the Israelites to gain understanding and wisdom. Deuteronomy 4:6 states, “Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” In Exodus 31:3, God fills Bezalel with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works. These examples share the common theme of seeking wisdom and understanding in the Lord God of Israel. These things demonstrate how Paul got his teachings from the Torah. The Torah has not passed away!
