Philippians 2:2
Philippians 2:2
2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (KJV)
In Philippians 2:2, Paul encourages believers to be “like-minded,” which means to have the same love, be in full accord, and of one mind. This concept of unity and harmony among people is indeed reflected in the Torah. The best parallel can be found in the Shema, a central declaration of faith stated in Deuteronomy 6:4-5: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” This passage emphasizes the unity of God and calls for a unified love towards God by the community of believers. In addition, Exodus 19:8 statement 9f faith of God’s people, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do,” this also reflects a collective commitment and like-mindedness in obeying God’s commandments. The Torah has not passed away.
