2 Peter 3:14
2 Peter 3:14
3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, (NASB)
The concept to be diligent to be found in peace (2 Peter 3:14) is indeed present in the Torah. For example, the Torah or Law is often referred to as the law of truth and peace. (Psalm 119:165) The Torah teaches the importance of diligence in entering God’s rest. The Torah itself emphasizes the importance of rest, particularly in the context of the Shabbat, which is a day of rest and spiritual enrichment. The principle of rest is deeply embedded in the Torah’s teachings, symbolizing a time to cease from labor and reflect on God and His Messiah. These examples illustrate how Peter according to 2 Peter 3:14 was teaching Torah, the Torah has not passed away!
