Ephesians 5:1

5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; (KJV)
There are several passages in the Torah that align with the idea of being followers of God, as Paul commands according to Ephesians 5:1. One of the most explicit commands to follow God is found in Deuteronomy 13:4, where it is written, “It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.” This verse emphasizes the importance of following God’s commands and maintaining a close relationship with Him. Another example can be found in Leviticus 19:2, God commands the Israelites, “Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.’” This command to be holy, like God, can be seen as a call to follow God’s example which is reiterated in the NT. The Torah has not passed away!
