2 Peter 3:14
2 Peter 3:14
3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, (NASB)
The concept of being without spot and blameless (2 Peter 3:14) is indeed present in the Torah. One such parallel can be found in Deuteronomy 18:13, which states, “You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.” This verse emphasizes the importance of living a life free from sin and striving for righteousness. Another example can be found in Genesis 17:1, where God tells Abraham, “Walk before Me and be blameless.” This instruction highlights the necessity of living in accordance with God’s will and maintaining a righteous character. These examples illustrate how Peter was teaching Torah in 2 Peter 3:14 emphasizing the importance of being diligent to be without spot and blameless. The Torah has not passed away!
