Ephesians 5:14
יד עַל כֵּן נֶאֱמַר׃ ״עוּרָה הַיָּשֵׁן וְקוּמָה מִן הַמֵּתִים, וְיָאִיר לְךָ הַמָּשִׁיחַ.״
Ephesians 5:14
5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. (KJV)
In Ephesians 5:14, Paul tells us to awaken to life. It is interesting how in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 Moshe wrote that life and blessing are found in the Torah. Paul’s statement to awaken to life in the Messiah is to Awaken to the Torah, since the Messiah Yeshua teaches us to keep the Torah, the commands of God, because the Torah fosters a relationship with God our Father in heaven. This is accomplished as Moses says we are to hold fast to the God of Israel and His Messiah. This is why Moshe says life and blessings are in God’s Torah. The Torah has not passed away!
