Hebrews 2:8
ח כֹּל שַׁתָּה תַּחַת רַגְלָיו.״ (תהילים ח׳ ה׳–ז׳) הִנֵּה בַּהֲשִׁיתוֹ הַכֹּל תַּחְתָּיו לֹא הִשְׁאִיר דָּבָר שֶׁלֹּא הוּשַׁת תַּחְתָּיו. אַךְ כָּעֵת עֲדַיִן אֵין אָנוּ רוֹאִים כִּי הַכֹּל הוּשַׁת תַּחְתָּיו.
Hebrews 2:8
2:8 YOU HAVE PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him. (NASB)
Psalm 8:4–6
8:4 What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? 8:5 Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty! 8:6 You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, (NASB)
Again here the author of Hebrews 2:8 quotes from Psalms 8:4-6 and illustrates a Torah based concept of God’s sovereignty and justice over the nations. Putting under subjection under the feet demonstrates more of a personal involvement of God as the ultimate judge and ruler over the world. The concept of God defeating our enemies is a Torah based concept! The Torah has not passed away!
