Bits of Torah Truths – The Nations being Blessed, Paul Explains according to the Torah – Episode 109
Galatians 3:8
ח וְהַכָּתוּב, בְּיָדְעוֹ מֵרֹאשׁ שֶׁאֱלֹהִים יַצְדִּיק אֶת הַגּוֹיִים עַל–יְדֵי אֱמוּנָה, הִקְדִּים לְבַשֵּׂר לְאַבְרָהָם׃ ״וְנִבְרְכוּ בְךָ כָּל הַגּוֹיִים.״ (בראשית יב׳ ג׳//בראשית יח׳ יח׳)
Galatians 3:8
3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. (KJV)
Here Paul quotes from the Torah, specifically from Genesis 12:3, 18:18, 22:18, 26:4, and 28:14 to demonstrate how it is through the Abrahamic promise in the Messiah that God is fulfilling the promise that all of the nations would be blessed. The blessing to the nations is giving the nations the opportunity to have faith, turn from their idolatry, and seek the God of Israel and His holy and righteous ways and become a part of the family of God. Paul used the Torah to prove these things. The Torah has not passed away!
