2 Thessalonians 1:8–9
ח בְּאֵשׁ לֶהָבָה, לְהָשִׁיב נָקָם לְאֵלֶּה שֶׁאֵינָם יוֹדְעִים אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים וּלְאֵלֶּה שֶׁאֵינָם נִשְׁמָעִים לִבְשׂוֹרַת אֲדוֹנֵנוּ יֵשׁוּעַ. ט הַלָּלוּ יֻטַּל עֲלֵיהֶם עֹנֶשׁ שֶׁל אֲבַדּוֹן עוֹלָם מִלִּפְנֵי הָאָדוֹן וּמֵהֲדַר עֻזּוֹ,
2 Thessalonians 1:8–9
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (KJV)
Here Paul is speaking of shomer mitzvah in 2 Thessalonians 1:8. Paul speaks of the gospel of Yeshua as something to be obeyed, because Yeshua taught the Torah. The significance of shomer mitzvot is found throughout the Torah such as in Deuteronomy 28 and even here in the NT text! The Torah has not passed away!
