1 Peter 4:18

1 Peter 4:18
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (KJV)

Proverbs 11:31
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: Much more the wicked and the sinner. (KJV)

It is interesting how 1 Peter 4:18 emphasizes what the Torah emphasizes which is righteousness, obedience to Godโ€™s commandments, and ethical living. Peter says if the righteous are scarcely saved what happens to the wicked? God outlines a path of righteousness through adherence to His mitzvot (commandments). The righteous are those who follow Godโ€™s ways and seek to live in accordance with His will. The wicked and the sinner are those who reject God’s holy and righteous ways. It is obvious that Peter has a Torah centric perspective for those who are in the Messiah Yeshua. The Torah has not passed away.
