1 Peter 4:18

1 Peter 4:18
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (KJV)
Proverbs 11:31
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: Much more the wicked and the sinner. (KJV)
It is interesting how 1 Peter 4:18 emphasizes what the Torah emphasizes which is righteousness, obedience to Godโs commandments, and ethical living. Peter says if the righteous are scarcely saved what happens to the wicked? God outlines a path of righteousness through adherence to His mitzvot (commandments). The righteous are those who follow Godโs ways and seek to live in accordance with His will. The wicked and the sinner are those who reject God’s holy and righteous ways. It is obvious that Peter has a Torah centric perspective for those who are in the Messiah Yeshua. The Torah has not passed away.
