Bits of Torah Truths – Paul went to Synagogue on the Sabbath – Episode 41
Acts 13:14–15
Acts 13:14–15
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. 15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. (KJV)
Here in Acts 13:14 we read how Paul went to Synagogue on the Shabbat. Interesting how he attended synagogue on the Sabbath day, and we see in Acts 13:15 the reading of the Torah and the Haftarah portions. These things suggest the importance of the Torah remained in the first century context. The Torah has not passed away!
