Bits of Torah Truths – Paul Taught Keeping the Commands was Most Important – Episode 87

1 Corinthians 7:19
 יט לֹא הַמִּילָה חֲשׁוּבָה, אַף לֹא הָעָרְלָה, אֶלָּא שְׁמִירַת מִצְווֹת הָאֱלֹהִים.

1 Corinthians 7:19 
19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. (KJV)

Here Paul points out the significance of obeying the commands of God. This follows from Romans 2 discussion that circumcision can become uncircumcision through disobedience. The reason is obeying the commands is our response to what God has done for us, so it shows the condition of our heart and faith before God. In 1 Corinthians 7:19 Paul taught that the Torah has not passed away because keeping the Torah is of utmost importance.
