Bits of Torah Truths – Paul Quotes the Torah and the Prophets in 2 Cor. 6:16 – Episode 101

2 Corinthians 6:16

2 Corinthians 6:16
16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (NASB)

According to 2 Corinthians 6:16 Paul references a well known Torah passage of one of the most powerful Torah Centric principles, the promise of God dwelling in our midst. (Paul quotes from Leviticus 26:12, Jeremiah 32:38 and Ezekiel 37:27) This principle is achieved by faith in Yeshua and the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit which empowers us to overcome the world like Yeshua did. Again note how the Torah has not passed away.
