Bits of Torah Truths – Paul Encourages Believers to Shomer Mitzvah – Episode 81
1 Corinthians 5:6–8
ו הִתְפָּאֲרוּתְכֶם אֵינֶנָּה הוֹלֶמֶת. הַאִם אֵינְכֶם יוֹדְעִים שֶׁמְּעַט שְׂאוֹר מַחְמִיץ אֶת כָּל הָעִסָּה? ז בַּעֲרוּ אֶת הַשְּׂאוֹר הַיָּשָׁן לְמַעַן תִּהְיוּ עִסָּה חֲדָשָׁה. הֲלֹא אַתֶּם כְּמַצּוֹת, שֶׁהֲרֵי נִזְבַּח שֵׂה הַפֶּסַח שֶׁלָּנוּ –– הַמָּשִׁיחַ. ח לָכֵן נָחֹגָּה לֹא בִּשְׂאוֹר יָשָׁן וְלֹא בִּשְׂאוֹר הָרֹעַ וְהָרֶשַׁע, אֶלָּא בְּמַצּוֹת הַתֹּם וְהָאֱמֶת.

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (KJV)
Here Paul encourages people to Shomer Mitzvah (Keep Torah) in his encouraging people to keep the Passover. Notice how Paul states Christ is our Passover therefore let us keep the Passover feast! How clearer can we get here? The Torah has not passed away!
