Bits of Torah Truths – Nicodemus used the Torah to prove Yeshua Innocent – Episode 37
John 7:50–52
John 7:50–53
50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) 51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? 52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. (KJV)
Here Nicodemus called upon the Torah in John 7:51 to allow for due process saying that they should hear Yeshua speak before casting judgment upon him. Nicodemus used the Torah to turn these men away from injustice because Yeshua was innocent.
