Hebrews 13:6
ו עַל כֵּן נִבְטַח וְנֹאמַר, ״יהוה לִי בְּעֹזְרָי, לֹא אִירָא מַה–יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָם.״ (תהילים קיח׳ ו׳)
Hebrews 13:6
6 so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?” (NASB)
Psalm 118:6
6 The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me? (NASB)
Deuteronomy 31:6
6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” (NASB)
The author of Hebrews in Hebrews 13:6 draws out an important Torah concept from Deuteronomy 31:6 that is also expressed according to Psalms 118:6. The idea is that the Lord God will never forsake us and because of this we should never fear what man can do to us. These things demonstrate how the Torah has not passed away but remains relevant for us today in Yeshua the Messiah.
