2 John 1:6
ו וְזֹאת הִיא הָאַהֲבָה׃ שֶׁנִּתְהַלֵּךְ עַל–פִּי מִצְווֹתָיו. זֹאת הִיא הַמִּצְוָה כְּפִי שֶׁשְּׁמַעְתֶּם מֵרֵאשִׁית וַעֲלֵיכֶם לְהִתְהַלֵּךְ בָּהּ.
2 John 1:6
2 Jn:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. (KJV)
John speaks of the Torah command given from the beginning according to 2 John 1:6. We note something about the previous scriptures, John in 1 John 5:1–5 develops two key ideas: one about Love which is demonstrated through obedience. And two, about victory where Believers can overcome the world (sin and temptation) through faith in Yeshua the Messiah. Victory is achieved through faith in the Messiah, who has already conquered the powers of darkness. John concludes saying loving God involves both heartfelt obedience to His commandments and finding joy in doing so. His love empowers us to live victoriously and walk in His ways. It is love to walk in His commands, this means that the Torah has not passed away!
