Bits of Torah Truths – New Gentile Converts were to Keep Kosher before Learning the Rest of Torah – Episode 49

Acts 15:28–29

Acts 15:28-29
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. (KJV)

This is a very important observation in Acts 15:28-29. Here we are told how New gentile converts were to keep kosher before learning the rest of the Torah. Note that these things listed in Acts, foods offered to idols/eating blood/eating things strangled/sexual immorality are all part of kashrut. (Shemot / Exodus 20:3, Vayikra / Leviticus 7:26, 17:12, 22:8, Devarim / Deuteronomy 14:21)
