מד בַּשַּׁבָּת הַשְּׁנִיָּה הִתְאַסְּפָה כִּמְעַט כָּל הָעִיר לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶת דְּבַר הָאָדוֹן. מה אֲבָל כִּרְאוֹת יְהוּדֵי הַמָּקוֹם אֶת הֲמוֹן הָעָם, נִתְמַלְּאוּ קִנְאָה וְהֵחֵלוּ לְגַדֵּף וּלְדַבֵּר נֶגֶד דִּבְרֵי שָׁאוּל.
Acts 13:44–45
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. (KJV)
After Paul and Barnabas had taught the Torah and Yeshua, we read in Acts 13:44 Almost the whole city came the next Sabbath and wanted to learn. We note how there were people who were jealous because of Paul and Barnabas’ success.
